My Lil' Boogie Boarder

This weekend, we took all three kids down to the beach to try their hands (and bellies) at boogie boarding. They all did a GREAT job, and I snapped shots of all of them. I thought, though, that I'd share one here of my not-yet-three dare devil, lovin' the surf. I also snapped this other shot after her turn in the waves. It might be my favorite photo of her right now.

Woohoo!

As you can see below, I fixed the image size problem. (Seriously doing a happy dance here.) Apparently, it was actually a margin size problem, as pointed out to me by my friend and photographer extraordinaire Vivienne. The thing is -- and this is HUGE, people -- I corrected the problem by going in and changing actual html code. CODE. All those slashes and colons and gibberish that looks like pure craziness to me. WITHOUT HELP. If you know me at all, you'll be suitably and undeniably impressed by that simple fact. Yeeeeehaw!

Happy (Belated) Mother's Day!

I had the pleasure of sharing my Mother's Day this year with many other moms at the Avila Bay Athletic Club. I spent part of the morning working -- taking photos of some of the families who came for the yummy brunch. I had a blast meeting these really cool families and then relaxing poolside while watching my own rowdy bunch of hooligans do cannonball after cannonball. Here are a few of the lovely people I met. (Just realized that I wasn't super about getting releases signed by all the families, so my options for sharing here are limited...)

Fun in the Sand (& Water!)

Yesterday I met a great new family and enjoyed an energetic hour on the beach. Despite all our weather worry, it was a gorgeous hour as well. These kids had so much enthusiasm, I couldn't help but smile myself, and if that hadn't been enough to brighten my evening, their sweet giggles would've surely done the trick. I could still hear them as I drove back home to the fog. :) Here's a peek...

Maternity Fun

This morning, I had the pleasure of photographing a gorgeous mom-to-be. With just a few weeks to go, this girl positively glows. Not that anyone needs the visual, but at 35 weeks, I was a water-retaining, seam-popping mess. Each time around. Some people have all the luck...

Beachin' It

This afternoon I got to hang out at the beach with J, JB and P. And it wasn't just any afternoon, either. Today was Lollipop Day, as declared by my littlest friend. In addition to that, there was plenty of surf, sand, sun, and a few colorful characters to observe. Happy Lollipop Day, everyone! Here are a few quick previews for the kids' mom and dad... Our Urban Shoot

I kicked off the weekend in "urban" style this weekend with two lovelies who've got to be the best.darn.models.ever. Sweet, agreeable, fun and so natural in front of the camera. Here's a little peek at our session. I've got about a million more where these came from, and I can't wait to get them up on the official site. (Oh, and doesn't it look like the Big Dude is about to tap K on the shoulder and say, "Uh, you're kinda in my space..."?)
